Mayhaps if we see Brother'NLaw Amrus in uniform first. OK, but I'll have to find a scanner...all those Civil War era Brady tin-types of me are from the "way pre-digital age".

yeah..after talking to the ravenwolves I decided to nix the idea. My apologies, I didn't want to dissuade you from participating. For something more personal, wait until the group renewal is over, a little towards the end of the afternoon. Find one of the resident Ministers and have them perform the ceremony, Then lot of us can head to the Dragon Inn, get rot faced trashed and welcome your husband to the Fair!

LOL..no you didn't Uncle Cravan, I thought it would be too impersonal for my liking, just glad someone told me before I went through with it and hated it.

Getting back to the initial question. seems there will be a change from previous years. The vow renewal will be at 2 pm at the market stage with the "reception" at the dragon inn afterwards. This year they are encouraging couples to attend in garb. As to the personal or impersonal it depends. First year many thing happenned including an underestimation by faire management. Where we stood we could barely hear but hubby managed to record the whole thing and when the time came to address each other we blocked everyone else out. Last year they did the vows on both Saturday and Sunday my guess to try split the crowd. We staked seating about 2 hours before the event so this time we had front row and could hear everything. Crowd wasn't as big and almost everyone was in garb. it was precious. We will see how it goes this time around.
