Bless all of you for being here! YAY!! I'm so thrilled to find this place! I've been going to the MDRF faithfully for only about 2 years now (this'll be my 3rd season), although I visited there YEARS ago and fell in love instantly. I live in Virginia, on the Eastern Shore and am about 3 hours away.
On the 09/10/06, my fiance and I will be getting married at the RenFaire! We're thrilled to death to be doing this! It'll just be a small affair, with only us, Rev. Sinnius Vice officiating, a photographer, videographer, and Gary Schwartz on virginal. Anyone who feels like dropping by and watching the nuptials is welcome to do so.
Although I don't really know any of you kind folk here, I feel such a connection to the folks who love the MDRF.
Thanks for this place and see you at the Faire!! ;D

Hello Ronda and Congratulations. Your wedding plans sound lovely. Small weddings are great, and Renaissance weddings are the best! Hope you will be at Faire many times. It's truly a magical place. Slainte, alastair.

NoirCyn and myself live in Delaware and it's a good 2 hours to the festival. Thank Gods for Pyrates Royale CDs! On the 09/10/06, my fiance and I will be getting married at the RenFaire! Thanks to all of you for your warm welcomes and congratulations! We're really looking forward to all of it! We are BOTH in MAJOR MDRF withdrawal syndrome now! You're right, Black Fox...if it weren't for meade and good pirate and celtic music (thank the stars above, too, for Live 365, where I can find lots of that good stuff!) I don't know how we'd make it throughout the year! I already have a warm, fuzzy feeling about being here! I'd like to post a photo or 2, but as I'm such a complete computer challenged person, I'm not sure how...if there are any tips...I don't have many, but a few from the 2004 and 2005 season. Again, thanks so much to all of you! Can you feel the love?! yay!!!

Thank you! I'm thrilled to be here! Is it awful that I'm nearly as excited about the first day of Faire as I am about getting married?! haha!
Peace to you! ;D

When I got married I was just starting to get into renfest. Now years later it has taken me longer to search for new garb than it took me to find my mundane wedding dress!

Thanks for such warm welcomes and congrats! Oh, speaking of wedding dresses...well, I DON'T HAVE ONE YET! AAAHH! I've looked and looked online...I don't want a white one (been there, done that) and everything else that seems interesting is usually made of velvet and hey, it's gonna be Maryland in mid-September...need I say anything more? So I figure I'm gonna scour the faire vendors and find something there...yes, I'm taking a gamble, but what the heck?! I love this place! Thanks for making me feel so welcome!

Congrats on the upcoming nuptials! It's a beautiful site for a wedding. If you're looking at wedding gowns, you might want to check out arcanelore.com. She did my (and my daughter's) Tudor gown but her specialty is Renaissance weddings. She does a wonderful job. Even though she's out-of-state, with our measurements, the gowns fit perfectly.

Thanks for the congrats and also for the dress suggestion! I'll definitely check it out and let you know how it goes! My sweetie is also in a bit of a predicament too, as he doesn't want anything too "frou frou" and as our ceremony is going to be of a pagan/celtic "feel" we both feel that something fancy schmancy isn't really appropriate. We're looking for something a little more rustic, I suppose (but he doesn't wanna wear his kilt!) Maybe this person can help us out. Again, thanks so much!! I'll letcha know how it goes. Peace.

Funny, my husband never wants to wear his kilt either. Something about it being scratchy. Still, I love to see a good man in a good kilt! When you go to RenFest on opening weekend (?), you might also want to check out Wolfstone Kilt Company -- they've got some really nice Celtic dresses (well, kirtles, chemises, and bodices), if you're looking for something a little simpler. As you can see, I love to shop in any time period -- Tudor, Victorian, 21st century!

I had forgotten that that might be a place to consider, so thank you so much for refreshing my addled brain! Only 2 weeks to go! YIPPEE!!

... and I keep hearing about these Fight School guys... Ladies, are they worthy checkin' out?? Thanks Jenn! Our wedding won't be as fancy as Black Fox's...or anybody else's really..small and very simple...not even a wedding cake in site...but it'll be filled with love, Gary Schwartz is doing our music, and Sinnius Vice will be marrying us! With good folks like you and others here from the site looking on, you'll be feeling the love from MILES around! By the way, Fox, great pics! Thanks for sharing!

By the way, Fox, great pics! Thanks for sharing! Y'know what. . . that was the "small" link. I had to go through the photo site and found the correct link. It was never activated! I'll put it here, but I'll also set up a new board just for MDRF Nuptual photos! We all love weddings! homepage.mac.com/blackfoxofde/WeddingDay/Menu90.html

Thanks both of you for sharing such wonderful pictures! Wow! Y'all (yes, I'm southern Renaissance) went all out! We're being simple and (relatively) cheap....
Mongo, I loved the ones where everyone is orderded to dance! "I will have no god who does not dance!" - Nietzsche
Not only are we not alone, but we're in FABULOUS company! HUZZAH!!
