I am Felix the Bubble Wright. As part of a cultural exchange with the PaRenFaire.Netters, Scotsman joined the Netters and I have joined the Maryland Friends (actually I bribed Greg with a Netters pin). I get to Revel Grove but once a year, drawn by that delicacy of macaroni on a stick. This year was September 5th, monsoon Saturday but still had a good time. As I live in Delaware, I have made the acquintance of Sir Black Fox while he was making a foray for supplies at the local Staples. To see what I do at Faire, check out: renstorearticles.blogspot.com/2007/03/felix-cartagena-renaissance-bubble.htmlAlthough the MD Faire officials think what I do is really cool, as a non-professional not under contract, it is considered "unauthorized entertainment" and thereby not permitted. I'm ok with that. I have attended many other smaller Faires but always ask permission first to bring the Renaissance Bubble Machine.

Welcome friend ... Tis good to see you here and you are among friends indeed! Now, it is my turn to return the "favor" and when you come to MDRF next year I will present you with a FoMDRF pin! Again, welcome aboard.

Hello Felix, and welcome! Your bubble machine looks really cool. I think I saw an article about it somewhere before, maybe on the old renfriends site. Nice to have you with us.

Over the years I have hung out with Marylanders because they certainly know how to have fun. In 1979 I joined the Maryland Kite Society, edited their newsletter/bulletin, attended many kite festivals and workshop weekends. I have made bubbles for many events at the American Visionary Art Museum in Baltimore and even did a workshop for them on, what else, bubbles. I started attending RenFaires in the 1990's and have truly found a home. So it was only natural (though belated) that I should join this group. Perhaps next season I might be able to make more than one appearance in Revel Grove. Glad to be aboard...... Felix
