I plan to be there to make bubbles, check out the vendors, make bubbles, listen to the music, make bubbles, eat a lot, make bubbles, visit with friends, and make bubbles for the protesters along the fence! Say hello if you're there..... The Bubble Wright

Yesterday's tomorrow has come and almost gone...
The two and a half hour drive from Delaware to the festival got off to a dismal start. It pretty much rained all the way. I got there just before 8 AM and it started to clear. The gate to the close-in parking opened at 9 AM ( of course I was first in line). Just after I had assembled the bubble machine, it started to shower again. This continued off and on right up to 10 AM when the gates opened. And then it stopped. By noon the sun came out and it turned into a gorgeous day. Although the grounds were wet and somewhat muddy, a lot of straw took care of that. I saw a number of friends and acquaintances. Made a lot of bubbles at various locations throughout the festival. The only disappointment of the day was that I couldn't make bubbles for the anti-faerie protestors. It seems last year one of the faeries tossed some faerie dust on them and they had the faerie arrested for assault. So this year the festival moved the visitors' pathway from along the fence line to about 100 feet away from the fence line to keep the visitors separate from the protestors. Good thing I couldn't make bubbles for the protestors... if one of them got hit by a bubble I might be serving 10 to 20 in the slammer. Of course the protestors were very considerate... they used bull horns so we could hear them. Fortunately they were there only 2 hours. In all, it was a terrific day for schmoozing, shopping, eating, being entertained, and making bubbles.
