Anyway, for those who really know me, I do a lot more than make and/or play flutes, musically. Let's just say, I tend to try to keep the breadth of my talents under wraps at faire, since I keep well aware of my place while I'm at faire.
Anyway. For this St. Patrick's Day, I have a Drinking Song you can take with you for long after the holiday is over. Think of it whenever you have the possibly inevitable wait at the MVA. So, get a Guiness, a Beer, a hearty drink. Join in the chorus, while you partake of this song I'm linking for those here at Friends of the Maryland Renaissance Festival. An Acoustic performance, to help make the MVA wait just a tad easier. Have fun, and drink responsibly. (Well, that is, if you have to go anywhere AFTER you drink)
Titled, "I Despise the MVA".
Song, in MP3 Form.

And here's the Lyrics:
I Despise the MVA
First verse:
I knew I should not wait until the last week
before my license will expire.
I figured I could, get up before the sun
so I would be back within 1 hour.
Second verse:
I enter the place, and to my big surprise
it's already crowded like a superbowl game.
I wonder if I could just come the next day
But this place will all just be the same.
So..
Chorus:
I despise the MVA
for One little thing I will sit here all day
Though Rare are the Times I'll be stuck in these lines
Forever…..Forever I'm waiting.
Third verse:
I go to the desk for a ticket to wait
for a task that takes a minute or two
For an hour the sign would say B29
and my ticket says B1-4-2.
Fourth verse:
I hope they don't close before my number's up
They should have a bar to serve beer
and before you cry I'll be D-W-I
I'll be sober before I leave here.
So….
( Chorus )
Alternate Chorus (on repeat first time):
I despise the MVA
for One little thing I'll be stuck here all day
For all I can tell, this is the 9th level of hell
Forever…..Forever I'm waiting.
(Chorus)
There.
(End)
Heh heh. That's what one gets for having me sit with a group of instruments, and the means to record myself a bunch of times. The song started after hearing a single spoken line from John Strum Jr. about his time at the MVA. "I despise the MVA." Be careful what I hear. I might make a song about it.
