I know, I'm waiting until the last minute here (but then I've always been a chronic procrastinator - I didn't get my first birthmark till I was 8)
Any suggestions on where to get cheap flashes and a hat to go with a kilt? Right now I'm primarily looking for a hat - the flashes can wait. Anything that will cover an ice pack and will even remotely go with a kilt is fair game.

They have Tams and Glengarries at Wolfstone, but I don't know what the prices are. I haven't worn a hat with my great kilt yet. It doesn't look bad at all.

Cheap Flashes- tie a strip of the ol' tartan about the top o your hose and roll the sock to cover it. Hat- mine came from Tall Toad on Mary's Dale Way (the "boardwalk") and I likes it fine.

Hmm.... ummmm Bill... wouldnt Flo be a bit objectionable to you getting Cheap Flashes? hehe Ok... so I just had to go there. Sue me. Cheap, but obligatory (just like me). I agree - had to be said (besides, she can't object if I can't object) Pyllgrum, Stillwater Kilts is where I got the kilt and the shirt and the sporran and the socks. I'd have gotten ghillies and a hat from them had they sold them. I looked at their flashes and they were a bit too plain and generic (especially considering the price). The primary reason I'm looking for a hat is to have something to stick an ice pack in. The reason I'm looking for something cheap is because I have the sneaking suspicion that it won't work and whatever hat I get will look like crap with an ice pack stuck in it. Flo managed to find the muffin cap I won at the Pirate Feast raffle, and I picked up a plain newsboy cap from Wally World for $6, so I'll try both of those on Saturday (probably for 15 minutes each, until I decide it's a lost cause and go hatless). Thanks for all your replies.
