This was found today at several MDRF-of interest- sites:
"No Longer Wolgemut Bruno, Magne, and I have left the band Wolgemut. At this point I cannot elaborate on the reasons so please do not ask. I wish to thank everyone who has been supportive of me and I will keep you posted on any new projects that happen in the future. Your kind words, smiles, and laughter have been an inspiration behind my playing. Thanks again!
Sincerely, Nevik"
No one has OFFICIALLY said this is true. . . I'm not one to believe Blogs and sites just on their "merit." Untill we get real confirmation from the band, it's posted here at RUMOUR.

Oh my!! Where's the cry smiley?? Oh man.
Like Pyllgrym said yesterday as I was wondering why I was in such a bad mood.. I wasn't Wolgemut. It just isn't as fun at Fest without those guys. I really hope this is just rumor and that we never get cofirmation that it's true.

Taken from Danicia's (Wolemuts cd wench) LJ:
"Hello all,
I wanted to help clear up a few things. There are way more rumours out there then fact. It's not my position to be an "official" voice of the band, but I can give some updates.
1. Bruno is indeed very ill. He went home on Monday, Sept 19th. Hopefully, he will get the proper care he needs in the Swedish hospitals.
2. Nevik has indeed left the band. He was not scheduled to perform in October with the band as he is getting married. He was not to be at the faire the entire run.
3. Magne has also not been well and has flown back with Bruno.
4. The band has not "broken up" per se. Wolgemut has been around since 1997 and has always had a changing lineup. Every one of their 5 CDs has been recorded with various folks and featured many different people. The band will be back this weekend AND we'll have a special guest helping out the last two weekends of faire. Some of you may remember l'esemble Cercamon?
I encourage folks to be supportive of all the members, past and present. Not only that, please do not feed into the gossip. There is plenty of it out there. Some of it is true and most of it is not. Remember the old game of "Telephone?".
I'll see if Micha will be putting out a statement; I'm supposed to talk to him today.
Thanks everyone for supporting Wolgemut!"

LOL I'm a percussion geek (ooo new word usage - double points) so I have greatly enjoyed Nevik.

Nevik hails from "Fredonia" which is near Dunkirk... so he's probably Jubilee's cousin. Maybe she can get us all invited.
( I specialize in fractured reasoning).

Great to hear that they'll be back at faire in one form or another.

I lived in Fredonia for five years. Yes it is right next to Dunkirk, but it is also in western NY.

Hey, wasn't Groucho Marx the President of Fredonia at one time? "I would never join a club that would have me as a mamber!" "You can be president of the mint" "No, I don't like mint, what other flavor do you have?" *Harpo runs up with some scissors, cuts the feather pen, and then jumps into the lemonade mixer* Ahhh, Duck Soup. Good movie (and good soup, too!)

Three men and one woman are trapped in a building. Send help at once. If you can't send help, send two more women. Harpo: (honk!) Groucho: Send three more women.

I'm glad to find this. Well, not because of the bad news, but more because they were my favorite group and I wondered what had happened when all of a sudden all the people in it changed. Thanks.
