Master Tallis's home in Frederick caught fire and burned Oct. 1 Saturday. Luckily, no one was hurt and all of his pets were rescued. Thebuilding was condemned.
But he was quite out of sorts, yesterday.

Just left Master Tallis's. It turns out their home is just 1/2 a block from my office. They are still in a daze but are going forward. They are counting their blessings.

Here's the latest. Gary sends his "Thanks to everyone for keeping us in your thoughts.". Gary is looking for a place to continue his lessons. Their also looking for a temporary place to live. The fire was contained to the upstairs and back of the house. There is heavy smoke damage thoughout the house. The guys are going to be on a roller coaster for a while as with any disaster.

Here's a bit latest than that Tiggeress talked to him about 20 minutes ago to ask him how he would feel about people posting for help on his behalf. He replied that he is fully insured (including his terribly fancy Noblesse Oblige outfits and his instruments). What he said he needs RIGHT NOW is to borrow an 88 key weighted keyboard. He needs it to continue his lessons and is concerned about losing students if he has to keep cancelling his lessons. Please contact me or Tiggeress if you have such an instrument to lend (I've got an old Yamaha CP-30 in storage, but it's only 76 keys and I'm not sure if it's large enough). When Tigg talked to him, he was overwhelmed by the outpouring of love and sympathy he was receiving from the ren community, and sounded more concerned with the Master Joyner's situation than his own. I know Tigg and I passed him several times at faire yesterday and he didn't complain a bit about his situation (or evesay a word about it). I know I would be hard pressed not to complain about something like that (or for that matter, even to show up to work after having something like that happen). I know I'll be making a point of finally getting around to purchasing his CDs next week.

Will, you will LOVE Return to Revel Grove, and A Morrow at Revel Grove. That's 53 Vignettes about our home away from home, and the people that we know and love so much.
I would recommend picking up his CDs (and some wooden shotglasses) for Xmas gifts this year.
