Like some of you, I had trouble finding out about this small faire, scheduled for June, in Westminster. Some sites had it as cancelled for last year, some said it was cancelled again, but still had last years data up...I received this e-mail from Carroll Community College yesterday...looks likes its officially gone for this year... I did thank him, and asked to be kept abreast of any ren-themed events that might come up on their schedule. Greetings, The faire has been cancelled for this year. There is some interest in reviving it as an off campus event for next year. If you like, I will email you if that becomes the case. Don Elwell Director of Theatre

Hello all. I live in Westminster, and a very close friend who is highly involved in the 4H and our local Ag Center, told me that there is word that the Ag Center has taken over the Westminster Renn Fest Idea. She said it is supposed to be Spring of next year. I'll let you know as I find out more info.

I had a email conversation with the organizer of the Westminster festival and he responded this way:
Steve,
The faire has been cancelled by the college and is being taken up by a nonprofit. It will be held next spring--assuming everything goes right--at the Carroll County Farm Museum on Memorial Day weekend. There should be releases, including volunteer information and vendor info, later this month. The college decided they couldn't handle the organizational duties for the event.
The 4-H? Hadn't heard that one.
The website for Westminster Faire should be up within two weeks and I'll send you the URL. Would love to have any input you might generate on the early organization of the event.
Don
