So what faire visits and travel and whatnot are people planning to do this year outside of MD?

Just returned from a wonderful weekend at the North Carolina Ren Faire. New site this year, an abandoned Golf Course. Over all, a great time, a few bugs that need to be worked out, but I enjoyed myself. The Wife and I had the honor to be entertained by the Interperters, model their new t-shirts we bought and received a proper Pub education from Cap'n Fletcher T. Moon himself. Great times... Looking forward to next year and seeing what kind of improvements they have made.

We are known for making sudden trips, so look for us at any ren fest anywhere at anytime...plus these usual stops, probably, in 2009: Fells Point Pirate Invasion Pennsylvania Fairy Festival Maryland Faerie Festival Virginia Renaisance Festival PARF Sterling Forest Potomac Celtic Festival Baltimore Russian Festival I'd love to make Georgia this year, as well as Carolina... Oh, and some place called Revel Grove, eventually Hey, Blackfox, I gotta order our fishing trip tickets...only 143 days to get them...you in this year? What a question!!!

Blair and I have a lot going on this summer (well, no different than most summers), but we're trying to work in some travel. We are also known for making sudden trips, especially with the RV on hand. Our tentative plans prior to MD season, subject to employer-intervention, are: VARF the weekend of the 5/16 Celtic Festival of Southern Maryland, 4/25 (possibly) Beer, Bourbon, and BBQ at the national harbor 6/20 (non-renn, but should be fun - www.beerandbourbon.com/)we might try to make a trek up to NY on 8/1 PA Aug 15th, possibly more Pending Blair not breaking 3 bones in his spine again this year, we should be able to make it to MDRF more than last year. We're not going to OBX in September like we usually do, so we have that going for us ...Little miffed because the in-laws decided to visit the weekend of Fell's Point, but whatcha gonna do. We might try to make them go with us =) We're going to see Phish in PA and at Merriweather, if anyone is into that kind of thing...
