Carolyn here - we are busy rehearsing and getting ready to open the gates of Revel Grove. This year the actors are focusing on the pathway - you'll see much more of the storyline played out in the streets than on the stages. Lots of new characters and groups - such as our swashbucklers, wenches and washerwomen.

I like the interaction and this will definitely be a good thing. Always had good experiences with the characters. My girls fell in love with Stupina years ago and miss her shows, but they do know that the same person is Columbina. Another couple of years till I let them see the Interpreters show.
However, with the King taking a holiday in central Spain for a few hours, won't that put a crimp in his availability for this?

However, with the King taking a holiday in central Spain for a few hours, won't that put a crimp in his availability for this? The play, "The Further Adventures of Don Quixote, Book 2" will be performed on the Globe Stage for about 90 minutes (time to be announced.) That gives King Henry 6 hours to appear throughout the Village (accounting also for his break for lunch) for interactions, playing out of the Court stories in the streets, knighting ceremonies, and attendance in the jousts. Actually, with fewer official Court plays (see the 'Stage Acts, Shows, and Events' under the Entertainment menu on the official web site www.rennfest.com, King Henry will actually have more time to be out and about, than in past years.

Aw, come on. I just gave the builder some gruff for posting this same thing on the facebook page. Part of the fun and excitement of opening day is discovering the new little things that have been done. Hearing about this, the new Boars Head Stage or the lazy river and water slide where the Dragon Inn used to be is one thing. Posting pictures so there is no surprise left is another. And to be honest, I would have rather stumbled upon this without knowing about it at all.
