I love how FB lets me connect to people who I normally don't see outside MDRF.
But I really hate how it lets people
post harsh and rude comments on the MDRF FB page.
And I hate even more that it means that Carolyn
(the Artistic Director who casts, schedules, writes scripts,
helps cast create and develop characters so that no matter what the story line is they can still perform at Faire
and directs & lets-be-quite-frank-practically-has-to-babysit Shakespeare's Skum)
has to read those comments.
I know that MDRF is not perfect
but there are so many details that go into running it correctly
that the only reason people are able to see the flaws
are because so much other work has already been done.
I know it doesn't help to debate people who post angry posts.
The fact that they do not take the time to create a draft
or wait to type until their emotions are cooled
shows that they do not want a conversation
they just want to vent.
So I wanted to invite everyone
to whenever you see someone post something
negative, rude or blunt.*
Let's not even acknowledge that post
and then post something we like about the Faire.
And maybe a link to a FB performer or picture
so that our posts are more eye-catching?
*I know negative, rude & blunt are open to interpretation.
So let's just say anything that if you read that post
and had never attended MDRF
it might may you think twice before attending?
