No Rogues, No Hack n Slash, No Robin Hood. . . . and you know what I think (maybe not). . . . good. Let's bring a new magic to MDRF instead of resting on the laurels of past seasons. I think 2011 will be an amazing new season of wonders for even the "old hands" who come to the festival. Can you imagine the folks who never let moss grow on a seat at the White Hart traveling about the faire and re-discovering the magic? The magic truly is captured with your FIRST visit to Revel Grove. Everyone talks about their FIRST visit. . . now's your chance to get that feeling all over again. . .no expectations. . .just the wonder of a fresh, new experience. I'm looking forward to the new season like I haven't in years. NEW festival. . .new wonders. . .and most of all new friends! (insert www.FriendsofMDRF.org plug here).

Being fairly new to the Faire (only 2 seasons, so far), I was disappointed not to see some of my favorites coming back, but you offer a refreshing viewpoint. I look forward to sharing new experiences with my nieces and new found friends. It will be a wonderful season.

Very sad to hear about the Rogues. They've been at the Faire as long as I've been going as an adult. (My first Faire experience was at the age of 12, then a LONG break).
Psyched that Albanach's coming back, though. Did I hear that correctly?

I didn't like hearing that The Rogues were not going to be there this season. I always felt I was back home that first day of faire and going to that first show. The Rogues are the ones that got us into loving the faire so much. Didn't take long for us to become weekend regulars. I am looking forward to the new talents this year and like Sir Black Fox stated it will bring a newly fresh outlook on it. I am over missing the Rogues.....but I do hope they will return at some point some year again. Here's to a new and wonderful season for 2011!

I will greatly miss Robin and Marian. I will spend that first slot of the day checking out anything "new"...plus, it leaves prime extra time at the Dragon's lair in the morning... We will miss him also. The first show was always my cue for the first cider of the day. What I will miss most is the referrals to his shows. My girls in garb with their Unicorn puppets from Midsummer Knights Dream were very approachable to young kids and their families, and they loved the attention. It was very easy to see that the families were enjoying the day, but were a little overwhelmed by the options and shows available. It always worked out well when I could recommend a Robin Hood show as an anchor during the day. You could see the look of almost relief that the parents had that they actually had somewhere to be at a certain time, as opposed to wondering aimlessly. Well, we got through a year without Mother Goose for the youngest set, we will get through this also. Now, if I could justify the Ask Stupina show as the reason for the first cider of the day, assuming that will take place before Columbina makes an appearance.
