Okay, so when are we doing this get-together-thing?? I need a reason to laugh and enjoy myself because this month isn't going that great.
Let me vent...
First of all, because of the weather I've had to cancel two weeks of dance classes in a row. When Montgomery County schools close down, the studio closes too. I'm way behind in getting my dance routines done and now I need to schedule make-up classes.
Secondly, the other studio I work for took forever to pay me for January (I had to wait three weeks, and then she wrote on the check "for deposit only" so I can't even go to her bank and cash it. I have to wait until it clears before I have money again. grrrrr.)
Lastly, I audtioned for "Annie Get Your Gun" last week. I know my audition was fantastic but I only got offered a part in the ensemble. The problem with that particular show is that "Annie" is really the only female character that sings so there wasn't even any suppporting role that I could have done. I decided not to do it so could audition for Faustus in Laurel but then I find out that their shows are during my dance recitals in May and June.
So... behind in my dance classes, no money, and no show on the horizon equals a very sad Lauren.
When are we getting drunk?

Okay, I got it!
The Baltimore St. Patrick's Day Parade is March 11th at 2PM. I say we stake out a spot and party through the parade and afterward head to the Joyce for a couple pints! What say you?

Loma and I will park our ass in front of the ESPN zone ... should be easy to find us. There is good parking at the end of Pratt St in Little Italy. That way we can walk from the parade to the Joyce and stumble back. Loma and I have a load of St. Patrick's Day beads (like mardi gras beads but cooler!). It will be a blast!

I want to come!!! Oh dang (not the Lt.).. a Sunday!?!?! I may have to put in for that Monday off!!!
I'm kinda bummed... got an assessment (the State one that gets issued every year... the value of my place went down $50K due to the current situation in the NVA area ~ the plummeting of prices... That is definitely going to hinder my ability of picking and choosing a new place... But dammit I'm still moving!!!)

So it sounds like a plan. I know that the parade starts at 2pm and should make its way downtown by 2:30 I would think. I am going to try to make it there by 2pm and will try to keep an eye out for everyone. Of course I am not sure I will easily be able to recognize people in their mundane clothes but I sure hope to bump into you guys. Scots--hope you enjoyed your cruise!!

Oh, yay!! My youngest daughter and I will be in the parade with our fencing group. Ceci (who's now as tall as I am) and I will be dressed as cavaliers fighting with sabers. Cheer us on! Throw money if you absolutely have too.

Pynchosalt - I saw you guys!
Sam, it was great seeing you and yours! Sorry I couldn't stay for the whole thing but I had a dinner date with my parents.
Had a great time chatting though.

It was a nice day for a parade. And, for once, our group was not at the end of the line. We ate as ESPN (slow but good for hungry fencers) then headed home.
*sigh* I am so ready for RenFest.
