I was just wondering if anyone else has a style they prefer. I love the Italian cuts because they are soooo comfortable. Tudor is nice as well. I tried german/italian of the 1530's and just didn't like it. It felt funny on and, although everyone who saw it last year loved it, I just didn't like it on me. The above is the German/Italian gown that I didn't like. I sold it back in January.

For comfort I prefer general wenchy type garb. I found (after much trial and error) that plastic cable ties (36" ductwork type) for boning are the best. They give great support, are washable, don't poke through the material, lightweight, and they don't conduct heat!! A well fit bodice is so flattering and comfortable, not to mention sexy!! I've been considering making an Irish dress but haven't figured out the patterning to make it come out the way I've envisioned it. ' For hot days though, nothing's better than a farthingale for getting a refreshing breeze! I'm working out a new upper class outfit, all raw silk or linen, so I'm hoping it'll look the way it should but not be as heavy. Natural fibers rule!!
