I know there was some interest expressed in getting together to drum. As the season advances, unless gas prices go totally insane, the parking lot might stay a parking lot alot later in the evenings. Is anyone interested in getting together an impromptu drum jam after faire to pass the time till the lines abate a bit? If things work out maybe we could work on getting together post faire too.

After 7pm the faire wishes everyone to at least attempt to leave in a timely fashion, even if the exit routes are tied up for some time. A drum circle would promote people to stay quite a bit longer (especially the more popular it became) and management would frown upon it. As it is they already put a stop to the drum circle that was held from 6:30 to 7:00 at Boar's Head several years ago.

While its not at faire, I live a mere 10 or so minutes from faire and would be willing to fire up both the grill and the fire pit for some drumming and continued merry making.
We had planned to do this prior to faire but was not able to. So maybe now we can. I do realize though, once people get on the road, they are likely to want to keep going. Hey, that's great but if you are staying in the area or something, I see...why not...
Think of it kinda like the pirates camping outing without pirates...per say.

Hi Sandman, That sounds like a great idea! The RavenWolves would have a better chance of making it on a Saturday after faire.

Hail, Cravan!! Long time!
Anyone wants to drum early, to warm up for opening cannon, I'm usually tailgating, on Saturdays, with SM wailing, drumming along as the early morning regulars wander in.

I could handle getting some drumming in before gate especially if I'm flying solo. Which it looks like I will be tomorrow.

What time in the morning Amras? Does this take place out in the lot somewhere prchance or up the front gate?

Usually right behind the trunk of the Elfwine Mobile, near the front of the first row... though I did it more at the beginning of faire than lately.

Cool, I'm usually parked right around that area too. I usually just have the bodhran with me though. I drive a blue Honda Civic with VA plates.

Oh, and to specifically answer the question you asked, I usually get there around 0845...crazy, I know, but I like the serenity of sitting there, listening to tunes in the lounge chair, and feeling the "ren-ticipation" of the day to come... ...and, I'm in a silver Altima with MD plates...and a squirrel sitting on a bodhran case...

Wow, The only way I could pull that off would be to jump in the truck first thing and leave the Spawn with Lady R to round up haul in later in the min-v. Question is,, how bad would I have to pay for doing that? H'mmmmm,,, I could probally pull it off if I bring Captain with me,, that kinda makes things even,..but that pretty much blows the whole serenity..., H'mmmmm

Can not do Saturday, have a critical rugby match (will be hard as nails). But can try for Sunday morning. Have to see who I'm hauling with me.

This may be the only Saturday I miss this year...and I'm not absolutely sure about Sunday this weekend...as someone else said on these boards, I need to win the lottery...
