Good day dear Friends... Anyone ever heard of this place? Purchased there? I like some of their gowns and bodices... and swords. www.by-the-sword.com/new/index.htmlAny feedback appreciated if you have been a customer - I just want to see what their wares are like in person.

It looks like a lot of their non leather stuff is Sofis Stitches www.sofisstitches.com I like Sofi's Stitches - in fact you'll see me in some of it Saturday probably ... it holds up pretty good and is reasonable. I've never tried their dresses though. Some of the other garb there (again not leather) is from another garb company called Museum Replicas. I've never ordered any of their stuff. www.museumreplicas.comHope that helps

It's also the same stuff as at renstore.com/ Basically, there is a wholeseller (forgot the name) that sells many of these gowns and outfits. These other companies buy them (I'm sure everyone has seen the "Italian" gown with fluer de lis running around. If not, just ask. I'll point it out to you when I see someone wearing it) The garb is "okay" meaning it will last for a while but none of it is an actual "replica" or completely correct. (Most of it is polyester or some other synthetic) I have bought from some of these companies years ago...basically, you can often find someone on ebay that got a bunch of gowns, outfits, or swords from the wholeseller and is re-selling them via ebay, bidville, or even Overstock.
