The first thing I noticed is that there is no morning court show. Does anyone know anything about this? I remember for the 25th anniversary they simplified the plot line to focus on the festivities. Maybe they are doing that again?
Anyone know if Daniel Duke of Danger will become the Green Man at any point between shows? Some of us from REC VARF remember that very well, especially with DaVine.
No Barto this year, I just noticed that.

Skumfan, I have no idea, except for the part where I'm a bit disappointed it seems there's not as much of the storyline this year. I rather enjoyed following the story all through the day last year. Maybe there are more things going on in the streets that aren't put on the schedule itself? ladyglorianna, Oh, I've already planned on going to see that one. (I did not make a list already of everything I want to go see, nope, not me, not at all! )

The first thing I noticed is that there is no morning court show. Does anyone know anything about this? There IS a morning Court show apparently just not noted on the schedule. On the show descriptions page ( www.rennfest.com/renaissance-festival-ent-descriptions.shtml ) you'll find: 9:50 - Opening Gate: The Royal Arrival Arrive early to the Festival and be on hand to cheer King Henry VIII and his Royal Court as they are officially welcomed to Revel Grove by our new Mayor, Hugh Wetherby. Let the cannon sound, the gates open and the fun begin. Huzzah! There are shows featuring the Royal Court at 230 at The Globe and another at 5 at the Gatehouse. The Royal stuff looks a bit scaled back, but I think it will more than be made up for by all the returning acts!

I do not have my complete schedule yet, but I will be seen at the opening gate and probably both knighting ceremonies among others...

Hello Everyone! I was delighted to see the Entertainment Schedule posted. I kept checking for it & now we have it. Last Season, I spoke with Barto (genius of a performer) and he told me that in 2006, he would be in Europe performing with a circus, "Circus Flik Flak." So that is why he will not be at MDRF this Season. Our loss, Circus Flik Flak's gain. See You Soon At Our Beloved Revel Grove.

I'm really glad to see a Royal appearance at Gate this year, it hasn't been done since 2003. However, they have been doing a dance and plot scene right after gate opens, morning court and plot shows at the Market and Gatehouse stages, the Meet and Greet just past the Lyric Stage, and scenarios at Middleton's and the Boar's Head as well. Then at 5:00 they do what Mistress Mannerly calls the Deus Rex Machina, and everything is resolved where it started - at the dance spot.
Whatever they do, I'm sure it'll be great.
