Ya know, PARF wouldn't be so bad in the rain- and that's about the nicest thing I think I can say about the paved grounds there. If I had to choose a faire to do in the rain, I expect PARF would be it- if the weather sucks too much, you can always hang out in the privies!
Enjoy....

Tigerlily, seeing you use my name to coin a term for skipping out on rain days TOTALLY made my day.

Tigerlily, seeing you use my name to coin a term for skipping out on rain days TOTALLY made my day. Oh no, I didn't mean that a "Dammiana" would be skipping out on a rain day...it meant slipping in the mud and landing on me bum! But whichever meaning is less offensive, please do use! ;D

i went to the fest I think it was the day after Isabel? Anyways, that had to be the BEST weekend at faire EVER. No crowds, No power, and the faire went on. Every booth had candels lighting up the place because of the lack of power. It really looked like the renaissance! That, and only us die hards were there...in full gear. :-)
So tomorrow, I'll be there. (As long as I'm no longer sick. Which I think I'm not anymore...) I think I'll wear my red velvet gown ala Ever After. It's washable. :-)

Playing tomorrow by ear. Depends on how strong the wind is and whether the rain is coming down in buckets or not.

Ah, thanks for reminding me, that weekend was awesome!
Does anyone recall opening day last year? It rained at Gate, cleared in twenty minutes and stayed around 70 degrees all day. It was the coolest day of the festival until later in October, IIRC.
