Sunday, October 8, 2006 -- The big Harvest 2006 Greenman March at the Maryland Renaissance Festival, Crownsville MD is going on this day. This is the big March for the Order -- our seventh annual March. So if you're an observer, come out and watch the spectacle. If you're a BOG member who is unable to March due to the Festival's restrictions (see the 2006 March Rules in the Membera Area), come out and support the Greenmen anyway. The March will start at 3:30pm at the Old Man Tree (Leather Mugs by Ye Dragon and Unicorn). We'll make a BIG entrance there, and we like a big crowd to greet us, so this is the best place to be if you want to observe the most spectacular part of the March.

Check with Shane Odom who owns the mask making booth near the first aid station. He also owns the bubble wand place so if you don't catch him, he might be running back and forth in-between. Shane is the leader of the Bog Bretheran at Revel Grove and very approachable. I'm fairly certain that one cannot just join in the march with the other Bogdudes. There's about 20 of the bretheran and only those sponsored by booths at the festival can be in the march. (but I think tagging along is OK) Check with Shane. . he da' man to see. The Greenman represents all that is good to us at the Elfwine Estate. This is also an important time for the squirrels, as they are out back "squirreling away" their harvest for winter even as I type.
I will be there to greet the Greenmen as they enter Revel Grove, and look forward to cheering them on and gratefully accepting their blessings. Huzzah!!

Shane just emailed me to remind everyone that the march is on SUNDAY not on Saturday (just in case there's any confusion).

My daughter Kyra called me a few minutes ago and wanted to know if I got an acorn for her from The Greenman March at MDRF this weekend. I told her that one of the delightful greenmen gave Cyn one but I'd forgotten to get her one.
So I'm gonna' have to ask Brambleberry (a boardmember here) about blessing one for her. She keeps the acorn from last year in her basket and she talks to it upon occassion.
I've introduced her to the full moon upon occasion and let her stand with me while powering up a couple of crystals for Cyn. She's Christian but fascinated with how serious and private I take my paganism. She completely understands the power of nature and what we owe as a species.
OK. . .getting too serious for this board. . .it's the Merlot talking!

(That's the margaritas talking, teehee!) In wine, there is truth!

Let that red nectar talk, M'friend! This is just the place for it. Give the lass my love, and tell her I'll try to find an Elfwine acorn for her (if the little creeps out back left any)...
