The digital camera is fixed. . . . was an issue with the charger. Cyn picked up a new one and all is well with it.
YAYYY, no bulky-huge-lugging-around-camera stuff this weekend, although Scotsman seemed amazed that my well-pocketed Black Fox cape could hold such a large piece of equipment.
uh, so to speak.

I will be draggin' around the massive camera bag this weekend... woo hoo.. So be forewarned... look your best 'cause I do NOT pose people... I take 'em when you don't see me...
Also, I'm asking as sweet as my bad inner self will let me, check out the caiber (sp?) tossing this weekend... A good pal of mine will be chuckin' the logs and all support is welcomed!!!

As the fates would have it, Mongo must be in Furnace Town this weekend so I won't be caber tossing at the fest this year. We run the event at the Chesapeake Celtic Festival, so I must be there.
Wish they would of left the dates alone.

The question I now have with the caber tossing is if it's raining or the logs are really wet, will they even have it??

I don't know about MDRF, but at actual circuit competitions, they hold them in most any weather, 'cept maybe lightning storms...nothing like real Scottish sports in real Scottish weather!

Wish they would of left the dates alone. OMG! I had no Idea you (or anyone here) was associated with the Chesapeake Celtic Festival. I have been attending that since the first one way back when! We are only about an hour away from Snow Hill, so it's not a bad drive for us. What a beautiful location Furnace Town is! However, I've noticed over the last couple of years a seemingly shrinking number of vendors there (and possibly acts, too?) Is that just my impression, or does that really seem to be the case? I'd hate to see it die out. Someone had told me that last weekend was the weekend for the Chesapeake Celtic Festival, but I found that hard to believe as THIS weekend was the first full weekend in October. Hope all goes well for you there and hey, you might even see us around if we manage to make it up there on Sunday. Take care!

We had a really good turn out last year, and hope for a better one this year. This will be our second year doing the athletic demos. They treat us really nice there and it is becoming my favorite play event during the year. Maybe one day we'll have a real competition there. For now we just don't have the room. Hope to see you there. I will be there with my family both days. Will be wearing my dark Keith kilt and a green shirt, or my MacIntyre blue/green kilt if it's really nasty out(it's the cheaper of the two). Don't be afraid to say hi.

I'd hate to see someone get hurt!! I mean trying to throw a 100+ pound log isn't exactly the easiest thing to do dry...
I'm really going to have to drink for the nerves aren't I??
