Get ready for this folks. . .. Sunday set a Sunday record attendance of almost 24,000 24791 visitors! It's not the most ever.
(Saturday on Pirates Weekend was the 6th-highest attendance ever!)
I know it was crowded this past weekend. . . but both the Pyrates Royale and the O'Danny Girls had HUGE audiences that were really into the shows. . . it was an incredible sweeping hour of music, fun, and participation.
Heck, I even got some kudos for the ad-libbing I did with the O'Danny Girls on Sunday. (thanx Liz. . .you made me smile all day)
btw when you check out the photos that I posted for the weekend, make sure you see Dee Dee (Cami)'s new feathered headress. . . the ladies in the band gave her a new headress that she'd had long pined over. . . .just when I didn't think she could be more beautiful. . .
**Lady Gloriana sent me a note with the corrected attendance record which was notated by tix sold that day

24,000 visitors! Holy wow! I can't imagine the crowds, especially along Mary's Dale Way. I get claustrophobic just thinking about it. But what wonderful numbers for the festival! I wonder if the high attendance was because of Celtic Weekend, or just a typical nice autumn day near the end of the season?

While driving thru the parking lot to get closer to the road instead of waiting (come on you know we all do it ;D ), I saw cars parked up against the wood on the opposite side of the fence... I've never seen that before...
I think it'd be safe to say the vendors had a bigger n' better day Sunday than Saturday!! Hell I had to wait for Mac n' Crack with a #13!!! WTF is that??? ;D
I'd like to pay a huge homage to my girl Sam ~ you made my weekend!@!!! (of course you always make my weekend, but this one was a wee bit more special)

Wow! I can believe it though. I came Sunday all incognito and patron-like. Which was weird in and of itself. (It seems no one recognizes me out of garb, by the way, unless I tap them on the shoulder, and even then it's questionable) We got there very late for a variety of reasons and as we were driving up, stuck in the traffic I said to my roommate, "This CAN'T all be for the faire." She assured me it was and when we got in and could barely find elbow room I finally believed her. That said I had a blast getting to experience for the first time all the fun things I missed out on working (okay, a lot of it was eating junk food and drinking cider, but the shows were great too!)
I hope to make it back this Sunday for more cider, more fried stuff, and more getting to goof off and have fun.

I'm the fat bald guy in the very heavy green and black. . . with a cider in one hand and probably Amras in the other! We'd love to have an "incognito" photo with one of our favorite performers!

Does anyone know what time the parking lot opens for patrons? I hate getting up early, but I hate waiting in traffic even more. (I'm assuming crowds again this weekend.)

I usually get to the parking lot between 9:30 and 10 am and there's no traffic and you get a great parking spot...

Does anyone know what time the parking lot opens for patrons? Second weekend I got on to the lot at 830 and was still not the first car there.
