Ask yourself:
Is the Fairever pass in your belt sachel? Got film/datacard in camera? Trained your liver? Practiced your hugging and kissing procedures? Decided who you're buying the firs ale for? Ready to be melted by the heat? Tested your "HUZZZZAH" levels? Reviewed your bow/courtsey in case you pass royalty? Figured out how to keep the yellowjackets out of your cider? Garb ready? Personal tokens ready to pass out to folks? Made space on your garb for your new FRIENDS OF MDRF.ORG pin? Trained your stomach for "___________ on a stick" (insert food of choice)? Finally got all the MDRF bulletins from last season out of the trunk?
OK. . . I think you're ready, mate.
"MDRF. . . . bring it."

I got my annual flyer today! It's not nearly as exciting as getting a fairever, but I always look forward to getting it- it means faire is almost here and makes the renticipation grow!

Been retraining the liver for the last several weekends now...have decided that the first ale we buy will be for (sorry, guys) US! There's a ritual we have...enter faire, head straight for the first brew station in (on left, partway down, can't remember the name), I get my Beesting right away (hafta mix it myself, however) and Kendall gets a double mead (well, not technically ale, but it still works nicely)...not worried about keeping the yellow jackets outta the beverage...I love 'em and they love me...I figure, 'why not share this lovely concoction with nature?' so I let 'em crawl around and sip...I am just careful to look before I sip! I have our itinerary all drawn up, where we're staying each week, confirmation #s, etc. Am going to look for a digital camera this coming weekend so as to take LOTSA pics of all of my wonderful friends whom I adore at faire! Kendall plans on another dress rehearsal this weekend (I think he just enjoys getting into garb...teehee!) and will be trying out his boots around the house for a bit here and there, trying to get his temperamental feet acclimated to them again (the gout did some damage, I fear)....hmmm, what else, what else? Well, you get the gist...thanks for the checklist...it is MUCH needed! (Hmmm, maybe I should start making one now?) Oh yes...and my HUZZAH-ing and Screaming skills are going to need some tweaking...ahem...memememememememeAAAAAAH! HOOOOO-ZAHHHHHHH! (clearing throat...that's better) ;D

Garb is ready Liver - not being trained because I have next to no $$$ so drinking must remain cheap this year Food - see above - it's going to be a luxury to get to eat at faire this season... I may have to beg for the Mac n' crack Fairever Pass is in hand tho - my saving grace; that I don't have to come up with $80 right now!!!!
But at least the company and love and people watching is free!!!

I can't decide what to wear! I know it will be hot, but I don't think I can wear the leather bodice (still need to lose my winter fat for that). What to do? What to do? Ah, well, at least I know where to get my first ale! Will I see y'all at the White Hart?
