"..........the mosquito is the official bird of Virginia's Eastern Shore?! "
My hubby has a shirt that says something along the lines of "I Gave Blood at Assateague Island" with a big mosquito pictured on it! We've done our share of camping there with the "official bird", the ponies, the deer, the gulls...the sand that gets EVERYwhere...... The ponies are pests! They get into everything. I've seen them knock down tents to get to food or reach into our bags on the beach when we've just gone for the day. The lifeguard had the nerve to tell us to stop feeding the ponies! I yelled back..."They are helping themselves!!!!"
Bad ponies! But, still, fun to watch.
Do y'all do tailgaiting every time you are there early? Or is this done just on special days such as opening day and closing day? Just wondering... ~fedelmia

Ya know, I've never seen the wild ponies and I've always wanted to... Not so much the penning thing they do as I'm sure it's bloody insane with tons o' people, but just to kinda see them...
I want to go wild pony huntin' - minus the gun - with a camera
