IMDb reports that The Other Boleyn Girl is now in pre-production, with still no confirmation of the casting of Anne. In the recent webchat Keira Knightly said that her role was "not confirmed". Variety this week profiled BBC Films and confirms it is funding the project, as it did with the original miniseries. It also says Justin Chadwick is to be the director. He recently directed the successful BBC adaptation of Bleak House starring Gillian Anderson and Keira's P&P co-star Carey Mulligan.

www.imdb.com/title/tt0357392/They already did a tv series on it. The book is/was terrible. I couldn't finish it. From the incorrect descriptions of the costumes to the blatent plagerism from the movie "Anne of a Thousand Days" (for those that are familar with the book, the yellow dress scene is also in Anne of the Thousand days) to the simply confusing mesh of incorrect dates and people. I would NOT recommend it for anyone that has any sense of tudor history. It will make you sick. If you have no sense for tudor history, or can easily dismiss it, it's just a romantic novel and nothing more.

Poor King Henry is always getting a bad rep because of his wife disposal program
why not a movie from His Majestie's point of view?

Don't worry about falling asleep...I know at least two other men who did. I myself was not impressed with the movie. Some of the costumes were fantastic but the Boleyn's in German dress made me laugh and wish I could smack a few people...ah well, it is Hollywood and they were using a book of fiction.
