Okay, so I know that there are supposed to be highland games on this coming weekend...caber toss, etc. (I guess)...can anyone fill me in on where and when exactly these competitions take place? I've never gotten to see them in the past years of faire and REALLY don't wanna miss 'em! Thanks!

The caber toss is held on the joust field (because it might be a bit dangerous to hurl telephone polls over by the May Pole---we don't want to knock Angels out of the trees) and the specific schedule will be available at Customer Service. It is well worth seeing! Rumor also has it that our own Michael Winchester (from the cast in years past) will be there all kilted up and competing with the other highlanders.

The reason for the move of Albannach I believe was two-fold. As you mentioned popularity demanded a bigger stage but also, last year they made the horses a little bit jumpy during the jousts so moving them a bit farther was probably another factor [ ]

Well it looks like the weather on Saturday will be grand Hopefully the possibility of thunder storms won't be a hazard for the caber toss. Sunday on the other hand is looking to be a bit miserable...90 yuck! :-/Of course I am a bit confused how it can go from 82 to 90 back down to 78 the next day.... Of course it is looking likely that I will miss Sunday due to the bridal shower. I may still try to go in the morning and then leave in time for the shower which is at 3pm. Of course as Irish knows I still haven't made it there early enough for opening cannon

Another inconsiderate bride! How could they? And yet, good wishes remain in order. I'm not really looking forward to 90+ and humid on Sunday. Men in kilts on the other hand.... those are worth looking forward to!
