It happens every opening weekend. Monday morning, I can barely move. That's how I know I had fun. What I remember most about opening weekend must have been the heat. It seems like a spent half the time just mopping myself off! Pleasant, I know. My apologies for missing the various photo ops and tailgating, but I had newbies with me both days and I waned to make sure they got around ok. On opening day alone, we had a girl nearly pass out from wearing her bodice too tight in the heat and another girl get sick from the heat, so I had to make them my priority for most of the day. Don't let it fool you into thinking I didn't have fun though. There's nothing like a full day of the shows I had sorely missed. Plus, getting a chance to ogle the various attractive folk, always fun. :-) I finally got a chance to wear the dress/corset I made this past week and while it still needs some adjusting, the compliments I received were sufficient to save my ego. :-) Both days, my favorite part was, and I feel always will be, pubsing. You can always find me toward the back of the White Heart, where the access to cider and mingling is a bit easier. This being my first year at pubsing where I can drink, it was very exciting. :-D Chris treated me to my first Faire cider on opening day and it was a heart-warming moment. I encourage others to keep those "heart-warming" moments coming.

I was very upset when I had to put my cat Byrn down last December. She had insulinoma (cancer of the pancreas) and enlarged kidneys. I still get upset when talking about it. I console myself with the fact that she made room for me to save another cat soul, my new kitty, Diego (Don Diego Byrnandino or "Puss in Boots" :-) ). My deepest condolensces
