Irish Weekend (September 6-7) Another new weekend of Celtic activities as the MDRF pay homage to Henry VIII's second-biggest isle, that of Ireland. (In truth, the reason Henry was so pissed all the time was that "they" were always after his Lucky Charms). |

Final Weekend (October 18-19) Final Weekend is made up of two special days. Saturday is traditionally Mask Day, where everyone dons a mask. For us veterans of U.S. armed forces, it's become Crusader Day, as we don our best knightly Crusader outfits in solidarity. Sunday is a day of mixed emotions. . . in the a.m.. . . everyone is happy to see who's wearing what on the "Day of Wrong". . .by the close of Pub Sing we're all in tears, hugging friends that we might not see for a year. . . .well. . .unless you're a member of FriendsOfMDRF.org. . .then we'll see you in a couple months at the after-faire par-tay!!!! so cheer up! |

General 2008 MDRF discussions Discuss what you'd like to see in 2008 or what you'd NOT like to see again. . . . rude drivers in the parking lot? how 'bout the impending AA County smoking ban? Beer and Cider prices up $2 per cup to keep the drunk quota down? Asphalt byways instead of woodchips? More "shushing" at the gatehouse opening show? Who Knows? |
